Dr. Chang Shuai, an associate chief physician, holds a clinical orthopedics doctorate. He is an expert in orthopedics and spinal surgery at Raffles Hospital Beijing, and also the Director of the Spinal Surgery Department at Beijing Aerospace General Hospital. Dr Chang Shuai received his PhD in Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery from Peking University Third Hospital, where he trained under Professor Liu Zhongjun, a leading expert in spinal surgery.

 

With over 12 years of focused experience in spinal surgery, Dr Chang Shuai has independently performed more than 2,000 spinal endoscopic procedures, with an annual volume of approximately 500 cases. He always centers on patients, integrating his adept clinical skills with humanistic care to provide high-quality diagnosis and treatment plans for patients with spinal diseases.

 

He is highly skilled in advanced fully visualized ISEE spinal endoscopic techniques and specializes in both open and minimally invasive treatment of degenerative spinal conditions, including cervical spondylosis and lumbar disc herniation. His expertise also includes correction of spinal deformities such as scoliosis and kyphosis, as well as vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures and spinal tumors. He is particularly adept at spinal endoscopic surgery.


Besides, Dr Chang Shuai has published 7 SCI-indexed papers, contributed to professional orthopaedic monographs, and serves as a committee member of several national professional organizations, including the Beijing Medical Association and the China Association of Chinese Medicine.
