Dr. Sahba Farhad has more than 25 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology and provides holistic comprehensive care for women and girls of all ages. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG) and holds a Master of Public Health (MPH). In addition, as a Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (DipABLM), with a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition and Longevity Medicine, she provides guidance to those wanting to improve their overall well-being and achieve optimal health.
She graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, USA and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Prior to coming to Beijing, Dr. Farhad worked as an Attending Obstetrician - Gynaecologist in a prestigious Boston practice with the Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women’s Hospital. While there she also served as a clinical instructor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School, fulfilling both teaching and clinical duties.
Before Joining Raffles Hospital, Dr. Farhad has worked as a senior obstetrician gynecologist in Beijing United Family Hospital since 2004 and started a lifestyle management clinic in two healthcare facilities. As the first American physician working in China certified in Lifestyle Medicine, she is skilled in integrating obstetric and gynecologic expertise with preventative and evidence-based strategies to develop personalized treatment plans for each patient, balancing therapeutic outcomes with long-term health management.
Dr. Farhad’s expertise covers general issues in women’s health including medical and surgical treatments and is especially suited to treat the following conditions: irregular, painful or heavy menses; preconception and fertility issues; gestational diabetes and hypertension; perimenopause and menopause; lifestyle management of metabolic disorders and longevity medical guidance.
