Dr Colin Xu
Title: Consultant Doctor, Orthopaedics
Dr Colin received his Bachelor’s degree from Yangzhou University Medical School in 2006 and then obtained his master degree from Naval Medical University in 2017. Additionally, he obtained qualifications as an international medical graduate in Australia in 2023. Dr Colin has practiced as an Orthopaedic Surgeon for 18 years and has been engaged in basic research and clinical work in Orthopaedics and Spine Surgery Department of Shanghai Changzheng Hospital. He has served as a Vice chief surgeon of Orthopaedics since 2018 and joined Raffles Hospital Shanghai as a Consultant Doctor in 2024.
Dr. Colin has published 10 SCI papers and core journal papers as the first author or corresponding author in several academic journals. In addition, he has contributed to two National Natural Science Foundation projects as a major participant.
Teaching Background:
In 2019, he obtained qualifications as a Master's Supervisor and Vice Professor of Qingdao University Medical School, as well as clinical teaching qualifications. In 2022, he received the Instructor Training Certificate for Standardized Residency Training in Shanghai, as well as clinical teaching qualifications of the Naval Medical University.

Clinical Interest
- Dr. Colin specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain, including: Conservative and minimally invasive treatment of spinal diseases (cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar stenosis, lumbar spondylolisthesis, etc.) under spinal endoscopy (PTED, UBE), PVP and PKP minimally invasive treatment of thoracolumbar compression fractures. Conservative and arthroscopic minimally invasive treatment of knee diseases (osteoarthritis, meniscus injury, cruciate ligament injury, gout, etc.) and shoulder diseases (periarthritis of shoulder, rotator cuff injury, etc.) . Conservative and minimally invasive treatment of common limb fractures in the elderly (femoral neck fracture, intertrochanteric fracture, distal radius fracture, proximal humerus fracture, clavicle fracture, etc.).
