The People of Raffles

Professor Lau graduated from the University of Hong Kong and continued his postgraduate training in paediatrics and paediatric nephrology in Canada and USA. He was an attending physician and assistant professor at the University of California, Davis, where he also served as the associate residency programme director. Professor Lau subsequently moved to McMaster Children Hospital in Canada to become the chief of nephrology and associate professor. He has served as the executive members of both the American Society of Paediatric Nephrology and the Canadian Association of Paediatric Nephrologists.

Before joining Raffles Medical Group in China, Professor Lau was the director of the International Medical Center and deputy director of the Department of Paediatrics, University of Hong Kong Shenzhen Hospital. He is the honorary clinical professor of HKU Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine.

Professor Lau was the awardee of various scholarships such as the Accredo Paediatric Scientist Award, SSCI Nephrology Young Investigator Award, Carmel Scholar Award and the Eli Gold Award. He has published over 200 book chapters and journal articles.
