The People of Raffles

Lisa Chen is a counsellor at Raffles Hospital Shanghai.

Lisa Chen received extensive training in mental health counselling from 2013 and obtained the Chinese counseling license. She then continued to pursue further education in mental health counselling in United States. Lisa graduated at University of California, Berkeley Extension, with a post-baccalaureate in counselling and psychology and later on, obtained her master of arts in clinical mental health counselling at Palo Alto University, United States.

Lisa has extensive counselling experiences in various work settings that include international school, foster care facility, private school, community substance abuse rehabilitation center, government sponsored youth development center and crisis intervention hotline in mental health hospital. She uses integrated and humanistic approaches, and supplements with cognitive behavior therapy, play therapy and attachment focused family therapy to treat adults and children clients.
