Shaochen Chang holds LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counsellor) from California, America. He got his Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Arizona State University in the USA in 2016.

Shao has worked in various settings within organizations and private practices in the USA and China with wide range of experiences working with psychological struggling such as trauma and PTSD, addictions, mood disorders, stress management and interpersonal conflicts. He utilizes techniques of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to help his clients.

Shao is also providing supervision service for students in master program in counselling psychology for Beijing Normal University. Furthermore, he has translated several books related to trauma treatment into Chinese, respectively In an Unspoken Voices, Facing Codependency, and Facing Love Addiction.

He is a member of Asian American Psychology Association.
