Dr Chang graduated from Baotou Medical College in 1983 and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree of Clinical Medicine. He then went to University of New South Wales, Sydney and furthered his studies there in Surgery. Also, Dr Chang worked in St. George Hospital and Westmead Hospital for many years. During 2009 - 2010, as a visiting scholar, Dr Chang went to University of Minnesota Medical School in America to study Surgery.
Before joining Raffles Hospital Beijing, Dr Chang worked as Head of Surgery Dept. in several leading hospitals in China. With over 30 years’ work experience as a surgeon, Dr Chang specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of disease ranging from breast, thyroid, gallbladder, abdominal wall hernia, gastrointestinal anorectal diseases. He has also expertise in laparoscopic minimally invasive surgeries.
In addition, Dr Chang has published more than 20 medical papers in both domestic and foreign medical journals.
