Dr Qiu received her medical degree from Shanghai Medical University in 1999.

Dr Qiu has 25 years of clinical experience in internal medicine and general practice. From 1999 to 2006, she served as an attending physician in the Department of Internal Medicine at the International Medical Centre of Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University. From 2007 to 2019, she served as the Deputy Chief of the Infectious Disease Investigation Department at the Shanghai Customs International Travel Health Care Centre. From 2020 to 2023, she served as a general practice attending physician at a high-end private medical institution in Shanghai. Since 2024, she joined Raffles Hospital Shanghai as an attending physician in the Department of Family Medicine. Dr Qiu has participated in the medical services of foreign related governmental events such as the APEC Conference, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit, and the visit of heads of state to Shanghai. She has also served as a signature doctor for medical examinations of immigrants to the United States at CDC recognised medical institutions in the United States. Dr Qiu has published 6 academic papers in core journals, obtained 1 utility model patent, and participated in and presided over 3 industry standards.
