Ms. Shu Xuan is a professional speech therapist with over ten years of clinical experience in speech rehabilitation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation and Health from Beijing Sport University and a master’s degree in Sports Science with a focus on Rehabilitation and Prevention from Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany. Since October 2016, she has been working as a Speech Therapist in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, accumulating standardized clinical working experience in a Grade A tertiary hospital. She holds the intermediate associate professional title in Rehabilitation Medical Treatment Technology and the National Teacher Qualification Certificate of China.  

Ms. Shu Xuan specializes in the professional evaluation and individualized rehabilitation of speech, language and swallowing disorders for patients across all age groups. She is experienced in the clinical intervention of neurogenic functional impairments caused by stroke and traumatic brain injury, as well as post-operative speech abnormalities related to cleft palate and various dysphagia conditions. Proficient in a full range of speech and language assessment tools and rehabilitation techniques, she masters core clinical skills including articulation therapy, language intervention, swallowing training and electrical stimulation therapy, enabling her to deliver standardized diagnosis and treatment for speech and swallowing diseases covering all age groups. She has long been engaged in multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment with departments of neurology and otolaryngology, with extensive experience in interdisciplinary collaborative clinical practice.

Furthermore, Ms. Shu Xuan actively participates in clinical research in the field of speech rehabilitation, focusing on the clinical application of cutting-edge technologies such as remote rehabilitation and non-invasive brain stimulation. She has participated in multiple special research projects of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Program and published several academic papers in core Chinese medical journals. She has established solid clinical practice and research expertise in the rehabilitation of dysphagia caused by neurological diseases and the rehabilitation intervention of rare diseases.
