Grace Yi graduated from the University of York and obtained her master's degree in development disorder and clinical practice. After graduation, she worked as a practice psychologist in a private psychiatric clinic in the UK. After returning to China in 2020, she has engaged in children and adolescent psychological therapy, and also provide individual counselling for corporate employees and international school students. She is certified as a psychotherapist (national health) and a psychological consultant (Level III) and has accumulated over 1,000 hours of consultation time. Before joining Raffles Hospital, Grace Yi worked as a bilingual psychotherapist in Beijing Zhaode Hospital. She specializes in individual psychotherapy such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma and personality disorders for adolescents; obsessive-compulsive disorder for adults; psychological and behavioral intervention for developmental disorders (Autism and ADHD). Expressive art therapy (painting, psychodrama) and Wechsler intelligence test for children. Grace Yi has also been engaged in academic works in the field of intervention for children with autism. She was responsible for the development of digital ability assessment tools for children, AI screening and auxiliary diagnosis system for autism, and offline integrated course design for autistic children. She also participated in the compilation of the group standard "Guidelines for Early Family Intervention for Autistic Children".
