Singapore, 22 July 2021 – Raffles Medical Group (the Group) is pleased to announce the opening of Raffles Hospital Shanghai – a 400-bed tertiary hospital spanning 70,000 sqm in the Shanghai international business district of Pudong Qiantan on Monday, 26 July 2021.

Like Raffles Medical Group’s flagship hospital in Singapore, Raffles Hospital Shanghai also adopts the group practice model to provide patients with a comprehensive range of medical care. This medical treatment model is backed by a clinical practice framework, and expresses the group’s medical philosophy – where medical teams of different specialists work together to provide patients with high quality evidence-based care.

Raffles Hospital Shanghai is designed with the environment and sustainability in mind. The building incorporates a ‘green building’ concept, introducing gardens and an environmentally conscious layout that integrates sustainability into every detail of the hospital so as to provide comfort, safety and privacy for patients during the course of their treatment.

With the addition of Raffles Hospital Shanghai, the Group now operates two international tertiary hospitals in China, in addition to its Raffles Hospital Beijing; serving more patients who seek high quality, seamless and personalised medical care for themselves and their family members.
