After graduating from Tokyo Women's Medical University in 1990, Dr Fukuda obtained her medical licence. She received her PhD in Medicine from Juntendo University in 1998. After that, in 2012, she obtained a PG Certificate for her research methods on translational medicine at the University of Manchester in the UK. |
Dr Fukuda has more than 20 years of clinical experience as an internist. Previously, she was also engaged in haematology (e.g. stem cells) research. She has also worked as a coordinating doctor and medical escort for emergency medical evacuation at a medical assistant company. She worked as an internist in Japan, China, and the UAE. Dr Fukuda has the licence of Certified Public Psychologist in Japan and Certificate Travel Health from International Society of Travel Medicine. She provides advice for mild depression/ anxiety and travel medicine. Dr Fukuda joined Raffles Hospital Shanghai in 2024. |
Clinical Interest
- Dr Fukuda's specialty and interests include the diagnosis and treatment of internal medicine in general, and she has extensive experience in the management of metabolic syndrome (dyslipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, etc.), as well as travel medicine, travel consultation and vaccine consultation. In addition, patients who do not know what department to visit or who are worried about the language will be asked to visit as the first step and will be referred to the appropriate department and doctor.
