Dr Tang received her medical degree from Wuhan Tongji Medical University in 1979.
Dr Tang has worked in clinical and teaching positions in paediatrics for over thirty years in tertiary hospitals, where she also served as the head of pediatrics and neonatology. Dr Tang is a member of the Chinese Pediatric Society of the Chinese Medical Association and has served as a committee member of the Pediatric Society of Hubei Province and the Perinatal Medicine Society of Hubei Province. She has led several provincial-level research projects, among which the research project "The Effects of Low-Level Lead Exposure on Fetal Gestational Weeks" won the 2007 Hubei Provincial Major Scientific Research Achievement Award. Dr Tang has published over thirty papers in national and provincial academic journals and has contributed to the compilation of two textbooks for colleges and universities. She joined Raffles Hospital Shanghai as a Senior Consultant Doctor of Paediatrics in 2024.

- Dr Tang’s specialty and interests include the diagnosis and treatment of common and intractable paediatrics diseases. She has rich experience and conducted in-depth research in the fields of paediatric respiratory diseases, paediatric asthma, paediatric allergic diseases, neurological disorders, brain development disorders, child psychology, growth and development guidance, as well as childhood immunisation.
