On Friday evening, October 18, the charity concert began in a warm and hopeful atmosphere Dr Charles Poon, General Manager and Medical Director of  Raffles Hospital Beijing and North China, delivered a welcome speech, reflecting on the hospital’s 30-year journey in China, From its origins as the Beijing International SOS Clinic to its acquisition by Singapore-listed Raffles Medical Group in 2016, the hospital has expanded into a comprehensive international hospital to provide 24/7 medical and emergency services, offering a wide range of medical services to both individual and corporate clients.

Dr Charles Poon also highlighted the hospital's commitment to social responsibility, especially in fighting the covid pandemic and supporting the 2022 Winter 0lympics: "As a one-stop healthcare service provider based on Singapore-featured medical practices, we are dedicated not only to providing high-quality, evidence-based medical care to our patients but also to giving back to society through charitable activities, particularly by caring for those children who need our help the most."

Wang Anhua, President of the New Sunshine Charity Foundation, expressed her gratitude to Raffles Hospital："Your compassion and generosity are truly inspiring. Even though these children may not be treated at Raffles Hospitals in Beijing or Singapore, your boundless love has crossed borders, regions, and languages, providing real help to those most in need."

The concert featured an enchanting jazz trio performance of piano, cello, and vocals by the "Harmonious Melody" band, led by French musician Pierre Pradat, captivating the audience with their soothing music.

Students from the Montessori International School also performed during the event, while a special guest, a recovering leukemia patient, moved everyone with a heartfelt solo performance.

A silent auction was held on site, featuring a diverse collection of artworks, porcelains, commemorative coins, and handcrafted items, including DIY canvas bags made by the children of Raffles Hospital staff, These unique collectibles, donated by artists and collectors from around the world, attracted enthusiastic bids. All proceeds from the auction will be used to support nutritional meals for children with leukemia.

As night fell, the raffle prize draw heightened the excitement. Generously donated by Raffles’ corporate clients and partners, prizes included luxury gifts, vacation hotel vouchers, and complimentary health services such as paediatric, gynecological dental, and surgical consultations, as well as health screening packages, providing an added touch of anticipation for all attendees.

During intermissions, guests enjoyed fine wines from the Great Wall Winery and canapes from Comptoirs de France 1855. Together, everyone witnessed the growth and transformation of Raffles Hospital Beijing over the past 30 years, while sharing in acts of kindness and compassion.

The event concluded with a collective chorus of "I Believe" by Raffles Hospital staff, drawing applause and tears of joy, The blend of love and music made this evening an unforgettable one.
