Amber Xu holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University (USA). As a humanistic psychotherapist, she integrates postmodern and cognitive approaches to support clients in addressing emotional distress, trauma, relationship issues, and workplace challenges, fostering psychological resilience and personal growth. With a childhood and education spanning Canada, U.S., and China, Amber brings cross-cultural sensitivity to her work, offering specialized support for expatriate families and Third Culture Kids (TCKs).
Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, she served as a bilingual psychotherapist at Beijing Zhaode Hospital and as a clinical counselor at Duke Kunshan University, working with clients and families from over 15 countries. During her training in the U.S., she completed her field practice in NewYork-Presbyterian Psychiatric Hospital and Child-Family Preventive Services.
