Dr Shang Zhanmin obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree in medicine from Henan Medical University in 1988 and 1994. After that, he completed his doctoral degree at Capital Medical University in 1999. Then he went to Utrech Medical Centre, Holland for further studies in 2011.

With over 20 years’ experience working in gastroenterology, Dr Shang has been working on digestive diseases treatment and in-depth studies as Chief Physician at the Department of Gastroenterology of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital. He specializes in gastrointestinal motility and functional gastrointestinal diseases (gastroesophageal reflux disease, functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic constipation, chronic diarrhea, achalasia, diabetic gastroparesis, etc.), helicobacter pylori related diseases, diagnosis and treatment of chronic liver diseases and pancreatic diseases.

He is also proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive endoscopy, including diagnosis of early gastrointestinal cancer, gastrointestinal polypectomy, treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding. In recent years, he has focused on the diagnosis and treatment of refractory gastroesophageal reflux diseases, digestive and physical diseases, and has achieved good results in clinical practice.

Dr Shang Zhanmin is the member of several major associations such as the Digestive Power Branch of Chinese Medical Association, Digestion and psychosomatic Branches of Beijing Medical Association. In addition, Dr Shang has also published over 60 papers in core journals, and participated in writing 4 monographs
