Dr. Bikash Rai graduated from Tianjin Medical University in 2003 and obtained his master's degree and Residency from Tianjin Medical University General Hospital in 2006. In 2010, after receiving a full scholarship from the China Scholarship Council,he returned to Tianjin Medical University General Hospital and completed his doctoralprogram there in 2013 and received his doctorate (PhD) degree in general surgery.

Dr. Bikash Rai was an attending general surgeon in the Bir Hospital, Nepal National Academy of Medical Sciences and a private hospital from 2006 to 2010, and then worked at Beijing United Family Hospital from 2014 to 2022. In 2016, he received specialized clinical training in thoracic surgery in the Thoracic Surgery Department and Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Centre of Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University.
During the cooperation with the Head and Neck Surgery Department of Peking University Cancer Hospital, Dr Bikash Rai has completed more than 120 cases of robot-assisted thyroid cancer and oropharyngeal cancer surgeries and has jointly completed about 40 cases of transoral robot-assisted thyroid cancer resection. He also published articles on academic journals like The Chinese Journal of Laparoscopic Surgery, The Chinese Journal of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery to share his preliminary experience and cases on Retroauricular and Transoral Robotic Thyroidectomy. He also has extensive experience in placing "Porta-cath" for patients with swollen cancer.
