Dr. Zhu Wei is an associate chief physician in the field of ophthalmology. He received his Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Tongji University School of Medicine in Shanghai in 2004. He then pursued postgraduate studies and earned a Master's degree in Ophthalmology from Capital Medical University in 2013, followed by a Doctorate in Ophthalmology from the same institution in 2020. During his Master's and Doctoral programs, he underwent extensive clinical training and professional development at Beijing Tongren Hospital.

Dr. Zhu has accumulated over fifteen years of clinical experience in the ophthalmology department of a tertiary hospital in Beijing. His expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of eyelid disorders, kerato-conjunctival diseases, uveitis, glaucoma, cataracts, and fundus diseases. During his studies at Beijing Tongren Hospital, his research primarily focused on combined surgical approaches for glaucoma and cataract. His doctoral research centered on the selection of intraocular lenses for cataract patients following all-laser SMILE refractive surgery.

Dr. Zhu has extensive experience in correcting refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism using excimer and femtosecond lasers, as well as through ICL implantation. He has performed more than 10,000 refractive surgeries. He has held leadership positions including Director of the Refractive Surgery Department and Vice President at Aier Eye Hospital and Director of the Ophthalmology Department at Beijing Yide Hospital. He is also experienced in managing common paediatric eye diseases, children's optometric issues, and myopia prevention and control.

Dr. Zhu has published numerous research articles in core academic journals. He is a member of the Glaucoma Expert Committee of the Beijing Medical Reward Foundation, a member of the Asian Branch of the International Orthokeratology Association (IAOA), a globally certified Zeiss SMILE surgeon by Carl Zeiss Meditec AG in Germany, a jointly certified expert in precision myopia surgery by Alcon (USA) and Eagle Vision (Germany), and a former vision disability assessment expert of the Beijing Disability Assessment Committee.
