Dr Qi Liqiang completed his Bachelor’s in Clinical Medicine, Master’s and Doctorate’s Degrees in Oncology from Tianjin Medical University, China. Then he went to University of Groningen, Netherlands in 2004 and furthered his studies there for another 3 years. In 2007, he obtained his PhD in Medical Science.

With over 20 years of clinical experience in breast surgery, Dr Qi provides all aspects of diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases. He specializes in early diagnosis of breast cancer, minimally invasive treatment of benign tumours, as well as comprehensive surgical treatment of breast. These include surgeries such as radical mastectomy, modified radical mastectomy and breast conservative operation, sentinel lymph nodes biopsy, neo-adjuvant chemotherapy before surgery for breast cancer, adjuvant chemotherapy after breast cancer surgery, endocrine therapy and targeted therapy for breast cancer). In 2018, he joined the Department of Breast Surgery, Cancer Hospital, and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (National Cancer Centre).

Dr Qi has been in charge of a number of national science funds of China, and serves as committee member in several national oncology associations. He also published many journal articles and participated in the compilation and translation of several related monographs.
