Dr Wang Yan earned her Bachelor‘s Degree of Medicine in 1989 from Anhui University of Chinese Medical Science. After that, she received her Master’s Degree of Clinical Internal Medicine of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine in 1995 from Fujian University of Chinese Medical Science and her Doctor’s Degree of Internal Medicine in 1998 from Capital University of Medical Science. With 30 years’ work experience as an internist, she provides treatment of infectious diseases (including respiratory tract infectivity and Infectious diseases of various systems) and respiratory diseases (including asthma and cough). Dr Wang has much experience in chronic medical diseases management, especially diabetes, coronary heart disease and hypertension. She emphasizes the importance of mental and psychological aspects in the prevention, treatment and recovery of diseases, and specialises in the integrated management of diseases and patients.

Before joining Raffles Hospital Beijing, Dr Wang worked in several leading hospitals and private clinics in China as Internist, Chief Physician and Medical Director. In 2003, as a visiting scholar, she went to Hospital Nord, Mediterranee Medical University in France to study the related topics of severe infection. Additionally, Dr Wang has published a number of medical papers and monographs as result of her fruitful medical research.
